Michael is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I'd be twins!" He was a natural motivator.


If an employee was having a bad day, Michael was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation. Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Michael and asked him, "I don' t get it. You can' t be positive all the time. How do you do it?"

Michael replied, each morning I wake up and say to myself 'Mike, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood.' I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life."

"Yeah, right. It isn't that easy." I protested.

"Yes it is, " Michael said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line is: It's your choice how you live life. " I reflected on what Michael said.

Soon thereafter, I left the big enterprise that I had worked in for years to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often though about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it. Several years later, I heard Michael was involved in a serious accident, falling off 60 feet from a communications tower.

After l8 hours of surgery, and weeks of intensive care, Michael was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back. I saw Michael about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Wanna see my scars?" I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.

"The first thing that went through my mind was the well being of my soon-to-born daughter," Michael replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground, remembered I had two choices: I could choose to live or I could choose to die. I chose to live." "Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked. Michael continued, "... the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the operation room and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, l read 'He's a dead man.' I knew I needed to take action." "What did you do?" I asked. "Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me" said Michael. "She asked me if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes,' I said. The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled", 'Gravity'" Over their laughter, I told them, 'I'm choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead'."

Michael lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude.

I learned from him that every day we have a choice to live fully. Attitude is everything.\

two days before, i posted a discussion on mylot.i think the comments is perfect,now ,,i`d like to share them with you ..my discussion as
fellowe:

  recently,i have skipped a lot of classes,which is very important ,i do not know why i so mad ,but i really want to go to the top university,how can i skip the classes since i am a senior three student,,i m bored out of my life,i really want to study hard.


the comments as fellows:


①If you want to do well in school, then you shouldNotskip class, and you should get a study group. That way you will have people to hold you accountable and keep you motivated to do well in school!



②When you skipped your classes what were you doing instead of studying?
Was it more interesting? Maybe it was but you know that it was not more important than studying.

I can remember that there were days when it seemed pointless to study and when I finished my schooling I was so glad it was over. Then as the years went past I realised that I should have continued and given it more importance.

Have you got very behind with your studies now? Surely not too much tobe able to catch up again? Pick up the pieces and carry on and you will be so happy that you did one day.



③Bored out of your life at such an early age?What have you seen till now?Your life is still at the beginning dont waste it.Its precious.You will reap the rewards if you study well now.Dont repent later by skipping the classes now.If you skip the classes now get prepared to skip your precious life.



④you have been mising college. this seems that you have lost your focus and just heading nowhere. at this point of time your goal is your education. this education would be a foundation of your career. so concentrate on your studies. this is the most important phase of life. you would repent later for not studying properly.

you have to direct all your thoughts and actions towards your goal then only you can reach your goal.



⑤Hey, dont waste your time doing nothing. Life is precious. Dont let that when the time came that you realize that you should have done better in school, you dont have enough time to study anymore. Join a group study or have time with your classmates regarding school activities.



⑥For a happy life in the future, we need build up a sound foundation when young. Being competent is a silent backup advantage in the current competitive world. For each period of life, we have different focuses. Study seems to be your focus, it is one of the ways to show your appreciation to parents, and to show your potential to lead a positive life. Leisure is luring, but you need to keep a good balance between study and leisure. Have fun with schooldmates, but not to spoil your focus. Keep confident and enjoy your study and life.



⑦Life is boring all the way if you have no propulsion in your life.
It is true that studying in school is boring most and tired for so many classes and works, but if you had passed it, you would miss the life in the university.
Anyway, i still think studying is a lucky thing, in my country,in some mountain areas there are many children who couldn't study in school and must work hard in the farm.
So, you should cherish your study.

you know what,,i have know my grade in english now,,its 134,,,oh,,my god,,,i have never got so much marks in the course of my school,,,however,,,ther is another side in this things,,,you know ,,i have doner that paper and i think its really hard for me to do it ,,as i have done it my english  teacher said that i am copy,,,oh my god ,,how can she say this to me,,,,i really want to *******her,,,for i have said the  w rithing  over,,,aha,,,i am hardworking,,,so.............it is easy for me to learn it by heart..

to be frank,,,i am not got so much gread in english..i just get 124,,,but i will try hard,and study hard,,,124 is not my goal,,,i have set a high goal in english,,,whats my goal, sorry ,,i do not want to let the cat out of the bag,,,
